an acquired taste

tragic

I returned from lunch to find the Chicago Fire Department, Chicago Police Department and the CTA Emergency task force outside my building with 3 of the 4 subway entrances taped off. . . hoping for a fire but not smelling any smoke I learned it was a suicide. . .

our office is taking new photographs for our marketing literature, you’d be surprised at how often it’s common place to put a face with a proposal though few of us would ever consider attaching a photograph to our resumes.  the mention of this photo session caused a bit of a stir which was only compounded [...]

smells like home

I took a walk yesterday morning and for a brief moment was “home”. my mother’s house has one of these trees in front and in the fall it smells like cider (it’s not an apple tree)

behind the times

maybe I’ve never talked about it; but I’m not really much of a tv person.  I’ve had shows that I would follow at one point in time or another but when I stop to think about it chances are someone else turned the box on.
