change

sorry it
took
me so
long to write,
my brain’s
been so introspective
that it just didn’t
feel like typing and what can you do about that?
it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything.  in part I’ve been doing the whole holiday thing and in part I’ve been working on other projects and then there’s the part that has just been absorbing all the change that it taking place around me.

it’s almost like a lot of subtle reminders that I need to get on it, all of the it’s that I have going on at this moment, because this moment is over before you say it and life has moved on to the next.  procrastination will only leave you a step behind making efforts to catch up and if you’re looking to get ahead then be prepared to keep it moving despite any and all tempting offers to rest.  okay, maybe procrastination will leave you even but if you were intending on being ahead then you’ll feel much further behind than you actually are (this would be my case).

and it is kinda sad, I found out this morning that two of my favorite baristas are leaving, one for management training and the other going back home, somehow I just knew he was from Colorado, weird.  so in a matter of days my daily routine has been drastically changed.  not of the major stuff like work but of the personal stuff, LIFE stuff.  that stuff that separates us from ants or worker bees both of which have much better work ethics than most people I know . . . anyway

the good news is that my holiday shopping is 90% complete, and that WordCamp is coming to Chicago and yes there’s more, and I’m pretty sure that I’ve come up with a solution for my font issue.  you know what that means boys and girls?!?!  I can get this book published and all my facebook friends can send me virtual champagne (and buy a book, maybe two).  oh yeah, and I came up with another book idea.  now that one of my friends has moved on to bigger and better things I just might be writing more because there just isn’t anyone to talk to, at least not as cool as her.  actually I like all of my coworkers and most of them are pretty cool (had to clean it up just in case someone’s reading) . . . . I inserted a few links and lost my place.  well, it’s probably time to finish this one off.

A lot of people slow down with their blogs during December. It’s just such a busy month. I am trying to get back on track with a few things too.
